Weekly Report by Frederick Otieno

ST. CHARLES LWANGA CHILDREN’S CENTRE WEEKLY REPORT.
Many activities have taken place in our school since Monday. On Monday there was the repair of our infirmary which will to serve as the nurse room .This project is quite essential to our school as students will have medical attention at the door step.
Food is the central point of everybody and organization. Much regard goes to Inverness County cares in collaboration with the chalice foundation for putting a smile in our faces by extending a helping hand to our school on nutrition matters.
There was much joy in student’s hearts.
Much anxiety and tension was all over our students on the forth-coming examination. Through the help of Inverness County cares and Chalice foundation, the centre was able to organize a trip for the form four students which was aimed at:
Ø  Help them relax from their daily routine of books and class work.
Ø  Reduce the main examination anxiety in the air.
Ø  Help them familiarize with the immediate environment.
Ø  Help them share among themselves about life and its challenges.
Ø  Inspire and aspire each other.
Among the activities, they engaged in included: Swimming, sun bathing and much more fun.
The students shared a meal with the director brother Kennedy Oronjo .
Later the students had a talk with their teachers who whole-hardheartedly wished them all the best in their exams and their endeavors.
To sum it all, Friday mark the day to remember as it was the day our infirmary was equipped with drugs and the resting bed for the patients. The school now has a nurse room where the students can seek medical attention .The school has a qualified doctor who stays in school throughout hence making the health of the students up to date thus the students can study properly. The nurse room is equipped with a bed and some drugs that treat various diseases.  This has really boosted the smooth running of the school since it has increased healthcare to the less fortunate as they used to seek medical attention far away from the school. The student can seek medical attention and later join their colleagues in class. Thank you Inverness and chalice foundation for your assistance in this sector
The doctor is fully employed in our school.
